Across the market you will see anything from R5,000 for a template job to R150,000 for a large custom build. Ours start at R4,500 for a one-page site, R10,000 for a five-page Starter site and R25,000 for custom work. What changes between those numbers is how much of the site is genuinely designed for you rather than assembled from something that already existed.
Ask three things before signing. Who owns the domain, hosting and analytics when the project ends — it should be you. What the fixed price is and what specifically falls outside it. And whether you can edit pages yourself afterwards, or whether every change comes back as a quote. A website design company that answers those plainly is usually one worth hiring.
Five working days for a one-pager and ten for a Starter build, assuming your content is ready and feedback comes back promptly. Custom projects run four to eight weeks depending on pages and integrations. The slowest part of almost every project is waiting for copy and photographs, so having those ready is the single biggest thing you can do to speed it up.
Usually yes, and it is often cheaper than starting again because the content and URLs already exist. We audit what is there first. If the foundation is sound we redesign on top of it and keep your rankings intact; if it is a mess underneath, we will say so rather than charge you to prop it up.
Your logo, any brand colours or fonts you already use, and the text and images for each page. If the copy does not exist yet, say so early — we can work from a rough outline, and writing it properly is far easier before the design is locked than after.
Yes. Everything is built on WordPress and we hand over with a walkthrough of how to change text, swap images and add pages. You are not locked into calling us every time a price changes. If you would rather we handled updates, that is a separate arrangement and never a requirement.
We can. Most clients send rough notes and we shape them into page copy that reads well and carries the right keywords. If you would rather write it yourself, we will tell you roughly how much text each section needs so nothing arrives half empty.
Most of our work is remote and spread across South Africa. Everything runs over email and calls, so where you are makes no practical difference to the design or the build.
