Website Design Cape Town | From R4,500, Fixed Price
Cape Town, worked remotely

Website design for Cape Town, built from 1,400km away.

We are not in Cape Town and we are not going to pretend we are. What we can show you instead is a Cape Town store we built from Gauteng — it is live, it ships nationwide, and you can go and click it yourself.

Straight answer first

Working with a studio in another province costs you one thing.

It is worth being clear about what you give up, because most agencies in this position will tell you it makes no difference at all. It makes one difference, and it is not the one people worry about.

You lose the coffee

No sitting across a table at the start, no handover at your desk. We do both over a call with screens shared instead. If meeting your designer in person matters to you, that is a legitimate reason to use someone local and we will not argue with it.

You keep everything else

Same build, same fixed price, same two rounds of revisions, same timeline. Domain, hosting and logins in your name from day one. None of that is affected by which province the work happens in.

And you can check

We have already done this for a Cape Town business. It is the first thing in the work below, it is still running, and nothing about it needed us to be in the city.

Portfolio

Our recent work.

Two online stores and a marketing agency — three different briefs with the same standards behind them. All three are live if you want to click through and judge for yourself.

Camp and Outdoor online store homepage

Camp & Outdoor

Outdoor caterware · Cape Town · Shopify

An online store selling camping plates, mugs and cutlery nationwide. Product catalogue, local payment handling and courier rates set up properly rather than bolted on afterwards — the parts of a store that quietly lose you orders when they are wrong.

Silver Sense Digital website homepage

Silver Sense Digital

Marketing agency · Pretoria · WordPress

Our own SEO agency, and the site we are hardest on. It is where the standards on this page came from — if something is not fast enough or clear enough for our own site, we are not going to hand it to you.

Moringa Utopia online store homepage

Moringa Utopia

Online store · WooCommerce

A second store, built on WooCommerce rather than Shopify. Which of the two suits you depends on your catalogue and how you want to run the shop day to day — we will tell you which one we would pick, and why, before you commit to either.

How we quote

An hourly rate is not a price.

A lot of studios quote by the hour. It is a fair way to bill, but it means you do not know the number until the work is finished — and the estimate and the invoice are two different documents. We do it the other way round, which matters more when you cannot walk into the office to ask how it is going.

What it costs

The same three prices, wherever you are.

One page R4,500

A single scrolling page with up to six sections, a contact form and on-page SEO. Enough for most trades and consultants.

Starter R10,000

Five pages, built so you can edit them yourself. The usual choice for an established business.

Custom From R25,000

Scoped per project. Custom design, unlimited pages, e-commerce and integrations.

Hosting and a domain run about R1,200 a year, paid to those providers directly rather than to us. Full breakdown on the pricing page.

Cape Town questions

The ones worth asking.

Are you in Cape Town?
No. We are in Gauteng, and we are not going to put a Cape Town address on this page to look like we are not. If you would rather use a studio you can drive to, that is a reasonable call and there are good ones in the city.
Have you built anything for a Cape Town business?
Yes — Camp & Outdoor, above. An online store run out of Cape Town, built from Gauteng, still running. That is the whole argument for this page, so we would rather point at it than talk around it.
How does a build actually work if you are not here?
A call at the start instead of a meeting, a shared folder for your photos and copy, and a link to the site as it goes up so you can watch it take shape rather than waiting for a reveal. Handover is a call with your screen shared, and you come away able to edit it yourself. The part that decides the timeline is how fast the content reaches us, and that is the same in any province.
Will you come to Cape Town?
Not for a first meeting, no — we would be quoting you for flights and that is not a cost worth passing on for a R10,000 website. For a larger custom project it is worth discussing, but we would rather be straight about it than promise a visit we would resent making.
Do you charge differently for work outside Gauteng?
No. R4,500, R10,000 and from R25,000 wherever you are. The prices are on the pricing page precisely so nobody has to wonder whether they got a different number to the next person.
Can you fix the site I already have?
Often, and sometimes that is the right answer rather than a rebuild. Send us the address and we will tell you honestly which one it is. We ran an SEO agency before this, so a lot of what we did was getting into other people's builds and working out what was wrong with them.
